AttendanceAttendance at The Grange Primary School
Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in ensuring every child reaches their full potential. At our school, we believe that excellent attendance underpins academic success, personal development and future opportunities. Every day in school matters.
When children attend consistently, they benefit from high-quality teaching, structured learning and the support of their peers and staff. Each lesson builds on prior learning, and absence can create gaps that become increasingly difficult to close. Strong attendance also helps children to develop essential life skills such as responsibility, commitment and time management.
Our core values of being Reflective, Resilient and Respectful are central to our approach to attendance.
Being reflective means recognising the importance of taking responsibility for our learning and understanding how attendance impacts achievement.
Being resilient means showing determination and perseverance, attending school even when challenges arise.
Being respectful means valuing our education, our community and the opportunities we are given by arriving every day, on time, ready to learn.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. By ensuring children attend regularly, we can help them achieve the very best outcomes both academically and socially.
Together, we can make every day count.
