Welcome to The Grange Primary School
A very warm welcome to The Grange Primary School.
At The Grange Primary School, we are proud to be caring and ambitious, serving children from the age of three in our vibrant nursery through to Year 6. Our vision is simple yet powerful — giving every child, every chance, every day.
We are on an incredible journey as a school, continually evolving and growing as an increasingly diverse and inclusive community. Guided by our values of reflection, resilience, and respect, we work together to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best.
As a Thrive school, we use the Thrive Approach to support children’s social and emotional development. Our staff are trained to spot what each child needs to feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Through observation and simple assessments, we create class and individual action plans, use play and relationship-based activities to build regulation and resilience, and work closely with families so support is consistent at home and in school.
Our Early Years Foundation Stage provides our youngest learners with the very best start. Through a balance of play, exploration, and high-quality teaching, we nurture independence, self-regulation, and a love of learning. Our engaging indoor and outdoor environments promote creativity, sustained shared thinking, and joy in discovery.
We have high expectations and aspirations for every pupil. Through a broad and engaging curriculum, we aim to ignite curiosity, encourage independence, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Our goal is to prepare every child not only for a successful transition to secondary school, but for the opportunities and challenges that lie beyond — equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in an ever-changing world. With a team of passionate leaders driving our vision, we continue to strengthen our curriculum, teaching, and support to meet the needs of every learner.
Above all, The Grange Primary School is a community built on trust, partnership, and care. We value the strong relationships we have with our families and the wider community, recognising that by working together we can ensure every child truly has every chance, every day.
Whether you are a current parent, a prospective family, or a visitor exploring our website, I hope you gain a sense of the warmth, pride, and ambition that make The Grange Primary School such a special place to learn and grow.
Warm regards,
Francesca Mawson
