Barton Waters’ Edge

On Wednesday 4th September, Year 4 went to Barton Waters’ Edge to learn more about rivers, bridges, animals and their habitats ready for their topic on Land, Sea and Sky this half term. There, they sketched the Humber Bridge, observed different animals, explored different habitats and went on a wildlife hunt. The children’s brilliant behaviour was commented on by members of the public, who also enjoyed discussing with the children the purpose of the visit. Since the trip, the Year 4 pupils have been implementing what they discovered into their Science lessons and will continue to apply their learning next half term when they look at rivers in Geography.
